Continuity editing-
Continuity editing is a process in which related shots are combined into a sequence to keep up the consistency of the story. The purpose of this editing style is to create a coherent sequence that draws the audience's attention and creates the illusion of reality.

(example: jump cut)



Non Continuity editing- Non continuity editing is when are mismatched to disrupt the impression of time. This brings the audience's attention to the cut and disturbs the illusion of reality.
