Audience research and profiling

  We created surveys to figure out our audience statistics and these were the results. Key demographics: When I asked my audience how old they were- 86.7% said 16-18 meanwhile 13.3% said they are 19-24. Since 16-18 accounts for the majority of people who took this survey they will be my main target demographic in terms of age. When people were asked about their gender identity 53.3% said male, 40% said female and 6.7% said non-binary. Next, I asked people how good their mental health is and the majority being 46.7% said their mental health is average. Nobody said excellent, 13.3% said good, 26.7% said poor and 13.3% said poor. Although the majority said average a lot of 26.6% are along the poor metal health scale so they are still an important demographic to account for when creating my product. Since this is the smile campaign people were asked how often they smile. 56.3% said sometimes which is the answer I was expecting since smiling is a natural occurrence, along with 6.7% sayi...

Stress is the bodies response to pressure. There are numerous different situations that can cause stress whether that's work or family related. It's often triggered when experiencing something new or when there is a deadline ahead. Everyone deals with stress differently and everyone has different coping mechanisms and this can often depend on past experiences and figuring out what works best for you as an individual. This particular campaign is about the impact smiling can have on mental health, below is a website that briefly talks about the mental and physical benefits of smiling.   S urprising benefits of smiling .   This part of the article explains some of the benefits of smiling and it shows that there are mental and physical elements.  Mind is a charity dedicated to the fight for mental health. They're a mental health charity based in England whilst also being available in Wales that provides information, advice, research and help for those struggling with mental health and people who wish to be more compassionate to those who may be struggling.  The charity was founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health but was renamed Mind in 1990's. As of right now the charity has been running for 75 years and is currently run by Stephen Fry. Mind are there to aid those struggling with their mental health and to empower them to get the help they need. They make it clear this is something they're very passionate about and will do everything in their power to help others as any good charity should.   Continuity editing- Continuity editing is a process in which related shots are combined into a sequence to keep up the consistency of the story. The purpose of this editing style is to create a coherent sequence that draws the audience's attention and creates the illusion of reality. (example: jump cut) Non Continuity editing- Non continuity editing is when are mismatched to disrupt the impression of time. This brings the audience's attention to the cut and disturbs the illusion of reality. (example: flashbacks)
